Tim Finch

Tim Finch is a novelist.  His first novel The House of Journalists was published in the UK and the US to acclaim in 2013 and his second novel Peace Talks will be published in April 2020 in the UK, US, Germany, Italy and Holland.

In 2016, he was among the contributors to a prestigious anthology of writing on the refugee crisis, A Country of Refuge.  In 2016 and 2017, he worked as a writer and creative consultant on an epic documentary called Human Flow directed by the world-famous artist and activist, Ai Weiwei. 

Tim started his career as a journalist at the BBC, rising to senior editorial positions at the Political Unit in Westminster.

In 2004, he was appointed Director of Communications at the Refugee Council. He moved to the leading progressive think tank, the Institute of Public Policy Research in 2008, where he was Head of Migration Research and Director of Communications.  In 2016, he set up IMIX, a communications agency specialising in migration work.  In 2017 he became the founding director of Sponsor Refugees, after helping to pioneer the idea of community groups sponsoring refugee families to resettle in their neighbourhoods. He helped to found the arts and migration organisation, Counterpoints Arts and remains the Chair of its Trustee Board.
