Live fire and BBQ expert Genevieve Taylor is the author of ten cookery books including the bestselling Charred, a complete guide to vegetarian BBQ, The Ultimate Wood-fired Oven Cook book, How to Eat Outside and Master Chef Street Food of the World. A proud omnivore, Genevieve is on a mission to prove that great BBQ isn’t just about Man vs. Meat.
Genevieve runs the Bristol Fire School – a cookery school dedicated to fire.
When she’s not cooking over an open fire, Genevieve can usually be found outside walking her dogs in the woods or growing a few good things to eat on her Bristol allotment. She has recently set up @FoodFireEarth, a fire-based events company to make the most of all the food she grows.
She is the current Chair of the Guild of Food Writers, a BBC Food Programme regular and a judge on the BBC’s Food and Farming awards.
