Rose McGowan

Multi-talented creative Rose McGowan is an author, director, music artist, public speaker and major agent of cultural change. Her mission is to awaken and inspire humans to become brave in their own lives. Through powerful public speaking, Rose covers a wide range of subjects-  empowerment, enlightenment and imparting what it takes to be brave in your own life.

Rose wrote her heart-centered, think-piece book BRAVE to “un-wire people’s minds.” Voted Audible’s Top Ten of 2018 for her narration of BRAVE. Rose’s story of triumph over adversity motivates readers to become brave in their own lives. It quickly became a New York Times bestseller. Never one to be complacent, Rose rebelled against the image Hollywood tried to lock her into and asserted her true identity and voice. She reemerged unscripted, victorious, unabashed, and courageously fights for the underdog.

Previously an actress in the longest running female led TV show in history, Charmed, and starred in numerous films. Leaving that behind her, Rose was just in the Venice Biennale with her first performance art piece with the Heist Gallery of London. In August 2019, Rose will premiere her album, Planet 9, and visual arts at the prestigious Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Recently, Rose has spoken at Oxford, Cambridge and Stanford universities. Rose has received the DLD Impact award, been named one of Time Magazine’s Persons of the Year, and was honoured to be the first woman to win a GQ Man of the Year Award.

Brave by Rose McGowan

In this era of long overdue reckoning for male behaviour, it seems strange for the world to focus on McGowan’s credibility. What really counts is that, when it mattered, she stood up and spoke out and empowered many others to do so. Indeed, in Brave, she talks about how she’s “immeasurably proud of having had a hand in the cataclysmic global reckoning”. Ms McGowan, you should be.
